To choose or to have it all?

To choose or to have it all?

In the realm of interior design, abundance is both a blessing and a challenge. With so many aesthetics and approaches at hand, one inevitably asks: must I choose a single path, or may I have them all? Selecting one style brings comfort, order, and an almost narrative progression—one choice leading seamlessly to the next. Yet daring to mix and play, to allow contrasts to coexist, creates interiors that feel truly personal. It is in dialogue between styles that unexpected beauty often emerges, one object’s qualities heightened by the counterpoint of another.

Still, before rules can be broken, they must first be known. To mix styles with confidence, one must appreciate them individually, observing each aesthetic at its most authentic and radiant.

Five moods, five perspectives, each offering a distinct rhythm of living. Together they remind us that design need not be confined to a single path, but may embrace contrasts, harmonies, and surprises in equal measure. So must one choose? Perhaps not.

NODS TO NATURE

In a life framed by urban skylines and enclosed interiors, what a profound relief it is to step into a home that speaks with the language of nature. This aesthetic is defined by organic imperfection: flowing contours, softened edges, and warm, sandy hues that seem to exhale calm.

Reminiscent of rainforests and sand dunes, it grounds the inhabitant in an atmosphere of restoration. Imagine a bathroom that becomes a sanctuary. A Terzani lamp, its form reminiscent of a water droplet mid-fall, glimmers before a Stoneleaf wall of natural stone, evoking the sensation of standing beneath a waterfall. A Victoria + Albert bath completes the scene—an invitation to renew.

More than a space for living, this interior slows the pace of life, softens the senses, and evokes the ever-present embrace of nature.

MID-CENTURY MODERN

Some styles do not fade—they endure, precisely because they never truly belonged to any passing fashion. Mid-Century Modern, born in the 1940s and 60s, continues to resonate as a timeless vocabulary of balance, proportion, and quiet strength. At once refined and approachable, streamlined and warm, it remains resolutely functional.

For the contemporary home office, Mid-Century Modern provides a perfect environment
for focus and flow. Walls clad in geometric panels from Wonderwall Studios pair elegantly with Omexco wallpaper, creating a backdrop of subtle rhythm. A Laskasas desk anchors the room, its clean lines inviting concentration. Nutty wood tones and smooth surfaces complete the composition, infusing the space with calm clarity.

Here, style does not distract; it supports. Mid-Century Modern is a reminder that design, when distilled to its essence, becomes timeless.

BOLD MAXI

Minimalism had its moment. Today, the pendulum swings back towards exuberance. Bold Maxi is not clutter, but curation—a deliberate layering of colour, pattern, and form. Its roots trace to Baroque grandeur, yet in its contemporary expression, the style feels fresh, spirited, and deeply alive.

This is a design language that thrives in bedrooms, where intimacy meets character. Picture a wavy Dom Edizioni bed, its sculptural softness complemented by Franco Ferri’s bold armchair. The space is framed with contrast: a Bruce Bruno classical skirting board in unexpected tones alongside candy-toned monochrome, playful bedside tables from Miniforms. Underfoot, Mia Milano flooring or a Sahrai carpet grounds the composition, providing a tactile canvas upon which details can shine.

Every surface, every junction carries intention. The room is vibrant but never overwhelming—each choice harmonising with the next, creating a rhythm of visual richness.

MODERN GLAM

Modern Glam celebrates the allure of objects and the refinement of interior details, creating spaces that are luxurious yet elegantly composed. Its palette is anchored in soft neutrals—creamy ivories and powdery greys with deep accents—lifted by jewel tones that gleam like amethyst, emerald, or sapphire. Silhouettes are inspired by Art Deco: curved edges, sweeping arcs, and sculptural forms designed to delight the eye as much as they serve a function.

With a neutrally toned Meridiani sofa in Capitonné technique, accented by Secolo coffee tables and a Bruce Bruno red marble fireplace in tone, a living room in Modern Glam conveys an atmosphere that is luminous, inviting, and self-assured.

It is not about ostentation, but about the confident presence of beauty, meticulously curated for spaces that feelboth comfortable and exceptional.

HIGH TECH

Born of industrial progress and architectural experimentation, this style elevates pure function into form. Precision, functionality, and technological ingenuity define the aesthetic, transforming interiors into environments where modern performance meets design excellence.

Exposed practical elements, from structural supports to innovative lighting mechanisms, are embraced as part of the design, turning functionality into an integral visual statement. With the addition of classical and natural elements, the style becomes both mature and fulfilled. A steel TM Italia kitchen with blue Officino Gullo accents, paired with a sleek Laskasas bar cabinet, creates a highly functional set. The inclusion of Terzani lighting and TM Italia oak veneer introduces warmth and sophistication, enriching the atmosphere of the space.

This aesthetic radiates clarity, efficiency, and composure, offering a modern canvas that highlights contemporary living while prioritising comfort, performance, and seamless interaction with the environment.
