The legendary Italian manufacturer Ginori 1735 presents the second chapter of a collection created in collaboration with British artist Luke Edward Hall. The project, entitled Il Viaggio di Nettuno (The Journey of Neptune), reinterprets ancient mythology through the prism of contemporary design, transforming each piece of tableware into a work of art.

Mythological journey in ceramics
Luke Edward Hall dives into the depths of the sea, following the wanderings of Neptune, the Roman god of the seas and oceans. His artistic universe is populated by goddesses, sea horses, and water creatures that come to life on the elegant forms of porcelain. The artist drew inspiration from ancient Greek terracotta from the Ashmolean Museum collection in Oxford, creating his own interpretation of classical themes.
“I wanted to convey a summer mood with a new color palette reminiscent of a Mediterranean vacation: Amalfi lemon, sky blue, and darker, earthier tones such as terracotta and pine green,” explains Luke Edward Hall.
The artist consciously strives for the charm of imperfection. Hand-drawn borders and backgrounds reminiscent of brushstrokes create a lively and sincere aesthetic. Every detail speaks of a craftsmanship where the human touch is valued above machine precision.
An eclectic collection for modern living
The new chapter of the collection includes a rich assortment: plates of various sizes, tea and coffee cups, mugs, glasses, decorative boxes, and serving items. Each item can be freely combined with others to create bold, joyful, and harmonious compositions. The graphic universe transforms functional objects into independent art objects.
“Everything looks hand-drawn and conveys the charm of imperfection. From the sketched lines to the colored glaze,” says the artist.

The color palette of the second volume differs from the energetic tones of the first collection. Pastel shades now dominate: peach, lemon, sky blue, complemented by darker earthy tones—terracotta, pine green, and brown.
The art of storytelling
Luke Edward Hall is a British artist born in 1989, founder of the Chateau Orlando brand and curator of the Instagram account @infoodispleasure. His approach to design is radical for a company with roots in classic design. The artist brings an almost naive visual language to the table, creating unexpected combinations.
“I like the element of surprise — revealing the stories behind the collection while you're eating,” Luke Edward Hall shares.
The Il Viaggio di Nettuno collection's characters include tritons, sea creatures, and heroes of ancient Greece. The face of Salatia, the Roman goddess of the sea and wife of Neptune, occupies a special place. Each item tells a part of the story of Neptune's journey through the depths of the sea.
The magic of everyday life
The artist does not draw clear boundaries between disciplines, believing that fashion, design, and art can feed off each other. His collaborations with Burberry, Lanvin, Diptyque, and MSGM prove the versatility of his creative approach.
"It all depends on your approach to life — how you dress or how you set the table. For me, it's all part of the same narrative," he explains.
The collection is ideal for seaside homes or resort hotels, and for everyone who adores bright colors. The visual campaign conveys the atmosphere of a Mediterranean dream, where natural elements—water, sky, rocks, and vegetation—create the perfect setting for precious objects.
