Inside the Jungle of the Future: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Azerbaijan Redefined

From June 12 to 14, Elektra Events Hall hosted the latest season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Azerbaijan, presented under the concept of “Jungle of the Future” — a bold reinterpretation of the intersection between natural aesthetics and modern technology. For three days, Baku once again became a hub for designers, fashion industry professionals, international guests, artists, and contemporary art enthusiasts.

The event was organized by the Azerbaijan Fashion Designers Association (AFDA) in partnership with Innovation Event, with the support of the strategic partner Autocapital-Azerbaijan, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz Group AG in Azerbaijan. The season’s main payment partners were Visa, a global leader in digital payments, and ABB.

As part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Azerbaijan, designer collections were showcased through large-scale fashion performances enhanced by custom visual concepts, light installations, and live musical acts, all of which contributed to the immersive atmosphere of the season and brought the “Jungle of the Future” concept to life.

The first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Azerbaijan opened with a musical performance by Leyla Izzatova, setting the tone for the evening. This was followed by the Leya Couture runway show, after which guests enjoyed a performance by Kengerlea. The program continued with new collections by Natalia Belskaya and Rina Collection, while DJ Tina Tonic closed the evening with an energetic set.

The second day began with a performance by singer Imran Dadashov. The runway then featured collections by Lala Talyshkhanova and Simoorg Academy. A special highlight of the evening was a performance by TuralTuranX, seamlessly continuing the dynamic flow of the program. The schedule then proceeded with presentations by Desi Vogue by Vishal and Lazizar Collection, while DJ Alex Pizzuti concluded the evening.

The third day opened with a performance by Anar Agayev. This was followed by runway presentations from Khayam Khanukaev and Difae Couture. The program continued with Sabina Volskaya, and the season concluded with a performance by DJ Berkcan Demir, bringing Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Azerbaijan to an emotional and memorable close.

One of the season’s defining features was its strong musical concept, which became an integral part of the overall “Jungle of the Future” narrative. Musical performances accompanied the runway shows throughout all three days, enhancing the dramaturgy of each presentation and creating a unique dialogue between fashion, scenography, and sound. Performances by Leyla Izzatova, Kengerlea, Imran Dadashov, TuralTuranX, and Anar Agayev, together with evening sets by international DJs Tina Tonic, Alex Pizzuti, and Berkcan Demir, transformed Fashion Week into a fully immersive experience where music became as important to the storytelling as the collections themselves.

A special highlight of the week was the private presentation of Atelier de Parfum City, held on June 11 at Boutique19 Hotel, part of Absheron Hotel Group. As part of the project, eight leading Azerbaijani designers — Orkhan Sultan, Natavan Aliyeva, Zemfira Jafarova, Anara Zakirli, House of Lali, Other Azer, Gunah, and Ajoure Atelier — created exclusive looks inspired by iconic global fragrances. These creations were showcased by prominent figures from the worlds of culture and entertainment, including Tunzala Agayeva, Tarana Muradova, Jiva, Elnur Huseynov, and others.

In addition to the main program, a dedicated pop-up space operated throughout all three days, becoming an important part of the season’s fashion ecosystem. The space featured exclusive collections from designers and brands available for purchase only during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Azerbaijan. Visitors had the opportunity to discover jewelry collections by Narmeen Jewelry and Nino Sepo, fashion accessories and products by Moko, as well as fragrance collections from Parfum City.

Additional partners of the event included Kspace, MAC, Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Hilton Baku, Green Era Travel, Sdesign, Avenue8, HFC Paris, Sirab, Crocus Fitness, The Bread, Lemon Flowers, and Pasifico.

The season’s official media partners included Xəzər Media, N13, Baku Magazine, Caspian Magazine, WE Media, Gorod24, Megapolis Time, and others.

The new season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Azerbaijan once again reinforced Baku’s position as one of the region’s leading fashion capitals, bringing together designers, artists, international guests, and representatives of the creative industries on a single platform. The “Jungle of the Future” concept reflected a contemporary vision of fashion as a space where creativity, technology, music, and culture coexist in a unified dialogue, generating new meanings, experiences, and inspiration.
